After following the biggest smartphone vendors around the world for the last year, IDC published data from the fourth and final quarter of 2012, revealing which companies have the strongest influence on the smartphone market.

 

 

 

While it looks like Samsung has a strong lead among its competitors, Apple isn’t far behind – probably due to the success of its newest line of the iPhone 5. IDC publishes their findings on leaders in the smartphone business four times every year and include both a historical and forecast trend analysis to more accurately predict what could be in store for the upcoming quarter.
