Most of our users create charts out of data that they want to show off to the world. Schoharie Area Long Term (SALT) disaster recovery coalition is doing just that: bringing visibility to the incredible number of resources that they have provided to homes in the Schoharie Creek Basin following the devastating floods of 2011’s Hurricane Irene.
SALT acts as a collaboration between governmental, faith-based, educational, and social services across the East Coast to raise funds to help those families and businesses still reeling from these tropical storms. They’ve created a chart that allows the viewer to hover over each color, revealing the different resources that these services have been able to provide. As you can see above, the most funded: Heating Systems, Mold Remediation, and various Construction Materials.
